Training Activities
Placements, training of trainers and vocational training carried out at the Foundation centres.
Training as it is run at Haridwar
The Foundation delivers skill training under the central and state missions it is empanelled with, and the day to day activity on the ground is the same across them. Candidates are mobilised from the district, counselled into a trade, taught in classrooms and workshops at the centre, assessed against the national standards, and taken through to placement.
The three areas below are the training activity as it is recorded at the centres.
Placements at DIF
Placement is treated as part of the training and not as an event that follows it. Recruiting employers are brought to the centre, candidates are prepared for the interview format, and the selection rounds are held on the premises so that a trainee moves from the classroom into a job offer without losing the thread.
Training of Trainers at DIF
The Foundation runs training of trainers sessions for its own faculty and for trainers working on the schemes it delivers. These sessions cover the trade content, the assessment standards the trainees will be measured against, and the classroom practice needed to teach a mixed group of learners.
