Privacy Policy
What personal data this website collects, why the Foundation holds it, and how you can ask for it to be corrected or erased.
Who is responsible for your data
Divine International Foundation, with its office at 2nd Floor, Sai Complex, Adjacent HDFC Bank Ranipur, Haridwar 249401, Uttarakhand, India, decides why and how personal data submitted through this website is processed. In the language of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Foundation is the Data Fiduciary and you are the Data Principal. All questions about your data should go to info@difgroup.in.
What we collect through the enquiry form
The contact form asks for your name, email address, contact number, the subject of your enquiry and your message. The site also records the internet protocol address from which the form was sent and the date and time of submission, so that abusive or automated submissions can be identified. Nothing else is taken from your device, and no field asks for identity numbers, bank details or documents.
What we collect through the career form
The career application form asks for your name, email address, mobile number, the position applied for, your highest qualification, your years of experience, a covering note and a curriculum vitae in PDF or Word format. The curriculum vitae is saved on the website server under a randomly generated filename so that it cannot be guessed or listed by anyone browsing the site. It is read only by the office staff who handle recruitment. Whatever personal detail you choose to place inside that document, such as your date of birth, address or past employers, is held as part of your application.
What we collect through the NIELIT registration form
Registration for the digital literacy courses conducted under the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology asks for the details required to enrol a candidate on a sponsored batch. These typically include the candidate name, parent or guardian name, date of birth, gender, category, educational qualification, address, mobile number, email address and the course applied for. This information is collected because the awarding body and the sponsoring department require it before a candidate can be enrolled, examined and certified. Documents that establish identity, age or qualification are collected at the centre, in person, and not through this website.
Why we hold this information
Enquiry details are held so that the office can answer you and keep a record of what was asked and what was replied. Career details are held to assess your suitability for current and future positions with the Foundation. Registration details are held to enrol candidates, to maintain the attendance, assessment and placement records that skilling schemes require, and to report progress to the sanctioning ministry, mission or awarding body. The Foundation does not sell personal data, does not rent it, and does not use it to build advertising profiles.
Who your data is shared with
Trainee data collected for a sponsored programme is shared with the department, mission or awarding body that sanctions the programme, and with the assessment and certification agencies appointed under it, because the scheme guidelines require this. Where a candidate is placed with an employer, the details needed to complete that placement are shared with the employer concerned. Data is also disclosed where a court, a regulator or a law enforcement agency requires it under Indian law. Apart from these situations, personal data is not disclosed to any outside party.
Where the data is stored
Website submissions are stored in the database of the hosting account for difgroup.in and, in the case of enquiries and applications, a copy is also sent by email to the office address. Access to the database and to the administrative area of the website is restricted to authorised staff of the Foundation. Uploaded curriculum vitae files are stored outside the publicly listed content of the site and are renamed on upload.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained for two years from the date of submission and are then deleted, unless the enquiry has become part of an admission or a contractual record. Career applications, including the attached curriculum vitae, are retained for one year from receipt so that a profile can be considered against a later requirement, after which the record and the file are deleted. Trainee registration and training records are retained for the period prescribed by the scheme under which the training was conducted, since audit and certification bodies may call for them after a batch closes.
Your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
You may ask us to confirm what personal data of yours we hold and how it is being used. You may ask us to correct data that is inaccurate, to complete data that is incomplete, and to update data that has changed. You may ask us to erase data that is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was given, subject to any record the Foundation is required by law or by scheme guidelines to preserve. Where processing rests on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, and withdrawal will not affect anything lawfully done before it. You also have the right to nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.
How to make a request
Write to info@difgroup.in from the email address you used when submitting the form, state clearly what you want done, and give enough detail for the record to be traced, such as the date of submission and the course or position concerned. Requests may also be delivered in writing to the office at 2nd Floor, Sai Complex, Adjacent HDFC Bank Ranipur, Haridwar 249401 during Mon-Sat: 10:00AM - 5:00PM. The Foundation acknowledges requests and acts on them within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may take the matter to the Data Protection Board of India under the Act.
Children
Some skilling and literacy programmes admit candidates below the age of eighteen. Where a candidate is a minor, registration is completed with the consent of a parent or lawful guardian, whose name is recorded on the enrolment form. The Foundation does not knowingly collect personal data of a child through the website except in the course of such an enrolment, and it does not use that data for tracking or advertising of any kind.
Security
Forms on this site are protected by a token that prevents a submission from being forged from another website, uploads are restricted by type and size and are renamed before being saved, and database queries use prepared statements. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please do not send identity documents, Aadhaar numbers or bank details through the website forms.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be revised when the Foundation changes the way it collects or uses personal data, or when Indian law requires it. The revised policy takes effect from the date it is published on this page.
