Aajeevika Integrated Livelihood Support Project (ILSP)

Livelihood support in the working area of UGVS through self help groups, microfinance, farm based training and non-farm micro and small enterprises.

The Aajeevika Integrated Livelihood Support Project provides livelihood resources for all the rural area under the working area of UGVS. The project establishes self help groups, promotes them and, with the help of microfinance, strengthens the members within the working area of UGVS.

Farm and non-farm activity

Programmes and trainings are organised for agriculture based activities such as agriculture, horticulture and animal husbandry, to support the livelihood of the rural community. With the help of these programmes the community gets trained and establishes small units of production. Activities are also organised for beneficiaries based on non-farm micro and small enterprises.

Communication, monitoring and coordination

Communication activities are conducted for the activities, programmes and trainings of the project, and IEC materials are published for this purpose. Monitoring and evaluation is carried out for the proposed project activities.

The project coordinates with all government departments and non-government organisations to support its different programmes, and finalises all the necessary policies, including the establishment of DPMUs and the recruitment of staff, to implement the project under the guidelines of IFAD.
