She completed the Retail Sales Associate course under DDU-GKY and now supports herself from her work at Big Bazaar, Dehradun.
Usha belongs to a BPL family of Bukhandi in Pauri Garhwal. The village is situated in the core area of Rajaji National Park and has no path for connectivity. The yearly income of the parental household was Rs. 18,000 from seasonal farming and her prior educational qualification was Intermediate.
She completed a course in Retail Sales Associate from Divine International Foundation, Pauri Garhwal, under DDU-GKY. She is currently working as a Customer Sales Associate in Big Bazaar, Dehradun. She had joined on 8000 per month and is now getting 12000 per month.
The foundation records her case as a visible transformation due to the DDU-GKY intervention. She is now independent and self reliant.
In her own words, she now feels independent and can do a lot in the coming years, and she credits DDU-GKY and the support of Divine for it.
